I SAVED A BIRD TODAY
This musicvideo is based off the true story of Peter Frampton’s “I Saved A Bird Today”. A story centered around hope and pure connection which in today’s world is desired more than ever.
Our protagonist is a young girl who looks across the endless desert haze with sadness. On one fateful day, a bird (American Coot) slams into the side of her makeshift home. The girl takes the bird under her wing. Through a series of events, the girl heals the bird but after failed attempts she suddenly realizes the bird cannot fly. Then, she remembers an old book she once saw in her home, one she found through the scattered garbage of this desolate world. It’s a book about birds.
She discovers that this specific bird needs a body of water to be able to fly. The girl and the audience realize the clear challenges she would face to have the bird fly. She looks over at the bird who’s sitting patiently under shade looking up towards the sky.
The girl grabs her boots and necessities and they start a journey together throughout this desolate world, in search of a body of water.
The girl and the bird
The main characters are the girl and her bird who discover their friendship along the journey they have to undertake.
It was important that both characters work well since the whole story rests on them.
The other important character in the story is the world where it takes place. A desolate apocalyptic wasteland that our heroine has to explore.
