Willie Nellson ft. Diana Krall
I Won´t Dance
We made the music video for Willie Nelson based on the famous Frank Sinatra song «I won´t dance». This time we are based on the cartoon style of the fifties and sixties, things like the opening of the classic «Bewitched», or the Warner cartoons. In the musicvideo Diana Krall wants to ask Willie to dance, but he doesn’t want to dance, but Diana doesn’t give up throughout the video and chases after him and gently insists to dance. We based the concept on vintage rom-coms like «Roman Holiday» and the aesthetic of Fred Astaire’s musical movies.
Basically, what we show in the video is a chase…every great rum-com ends with a chase, in fact.
Character design
It was important to preserve the proposed aesthetics in addition to making the main characters recognizable, Diana and Willie. We also include our little tribute to Frank Sinatra
