Idina Menzel /// Sleigh Ride
A classic animated Christmas carol we made for Tony Award winner Idina Menzel.
The video clip concept was Idina herself trying to reach her own voice through postcards and classic Christmas scenes. With this purpose we decided to be inspired by the decade of the 50’s, reduce our color palette and explore the Christmas scenery of that time. We were directly inspired by the openings of the classic Bewitched series and cartoons like the Pink Panther.
The girl and the bird
The main characters are the girl and her bird who discover their friendship along the journey they have to undertake.
It was important that both characters work well since the whole story rests on them.
BACKGROUNDS
The other important character in the story is the world where it takes place. A desolate apocalyptic wasteland that our heroine has to explore.
